Nuummite

Family: Amphibole mineral - a combination of Anthophyllite and Gedrite

Found only in Nuuk, Greenland. Nuummite is the perfect stone for inner transformation and protection during vision work and all inward journeys. It has been used as a scrying stone (gazing deeply within), aiding us in going deeper into higher states of consciousness. When we look deeply into ourselves we begin to remember why we are here and what we are supposed to be doing. It is a sister, in many ways, to Black Tourmaline, Hornblende, Obsidian and also Moldavite, in the way that it acts as a powerful activator of soul memory, self-discovery, self-mastery and protection. It is associated with the root chakra, solar plexus and third eye. Nuummite has been used to unblock areas of our life that seem stuck or stagnant, and release the hurt of old wounds inflicted upon us in order to learn hard lessons during childhood. It can help us to see why certain things happened, and understand the reasons why we went through them, thereby allowing us to let go and become free.
