The original wood has been replaced by Silicon. Petrified wood has been used for connecting us to our ancestors, learning lessons from them by sitting in silence and listening to quiet messages they may be sending us. It is also used for past-life recall, helping us to understand and gain insight into what stories we created in the past that may no-longer be true anymore. Petrified wood has a nice, earthy, grounding effect, and gently, patiently, helps us to feel better about events that have happened to us, replacing the original story with a gentler one when viewed from another perspective.
